Quite a special place. Apparently there are 72 species of fish living in the sea-water lake. A steep walk up Mount Knockoumah gives the most magnificent views.

The hire car would go no further.
I climbed up the crest of a hill and came across this abandoned shack with the most
amazing views over the cloud line. I set up as quick as I could and fired off a few
frames before my hands started to freeze.

I’d been out looking to make a photograph in the monastery at Timoleague but came away disappointed, on the drive back I noticed some colour appearing in the sky. I pulled in and quickly set up my camera. The scene before me lasted seconds but I caught it on film.

Most people just visit the Rock of Cashel but I find this abbey quite magical. Definitely worth the short walk down from the Rock.
